Structure

The College of Health Disciplines (CHD), in partnership with the BC Academic Health Council (BCAHC), provides overall leadership and management of In-BC. Partners include patients, learners, the six health authorities, post-secondary institutions, Health Match BC and the Ministries of Health and Advanced Education.

In-BC is funded by Health Canada (through the Interprofessional Education for Collaborative Patient-Centred Practice, the IECPCP initiative) and the BC Ministry of Health.

Organizational Chart

In-BC Steering Committee sets the strategic directions, and promotes knowledge exchange across organizations and projects.

In-BC Management Team ensures the workplan and resources are in place, and that the various components are moving forward in synchrony.

In-BC Provincial Working Groups on Evaluation, Curriculum, and Communications lead the development of these three provincial components.

Each of the regional projects has a steering committee or project team which leads the planning and implementation of their respective project.

In-BC Steering Committee

The In-BC Steering Committee includes representation from the six health authorities, respective post-secondary education partners, government, patients and learners. It is co-chaired by representatives from health and education institutions with provincial mandates.

The In-BC Steering Committee is responsible for:
